Sofiyskaya Polyana

Sofiyskaya Polyana is located on the border of two protected natural areas — the Arkhyzsky Nature Reserve and the Teberdinsky Biosphere Reserve. The glade offers views of the mountain ranges: Arkasara, Abishira-Akhuba, Cheget-Chat and Sofiysky.

Many tourist routes to the Sofia lakes and waterfalls, natural symbols of Arkhyz, begin from Sofiyskaya Polyana. Horseback riding, jeep tours, and hiking are popular here in summer. In winter, the clearing turns into a place for skiing, snowmobiling and mountaineering. ATV rides are also available.
